Just one last time to see your face,
And I'd be there by two,
But then the awful phone call came
From one I barely knew.
She told me you had slipped away
One moment just before.
I sat with phone in hands gone numb,
Ice forming at my core.
It can't be, no I cried aloud,
He's much too young to die!
Please, God, it must be a mistake!
Why must You take him, why?
Despite tears that were blinding me
I thought I saw him there,
With old and tattered cap worn low
To shield from sunset glare.
Volkswagen Bug of orange hue
Announced a brighter time
Its presence lifted every heart,
He was our greatest mime.
When we were told his time was short,
Perception of his soul
Revealed such truth within his words
All people would extol.
When it was time to say goodbye,
Control was hard to keep.
We knew a special man had passed
Our way and all would weep.
He's gone, and yet I can't refrain
From searching for someone
With hat worn low, who'll never show!
That tortured life is done.
Some people you meet, you just can't seem to forget. Judson Palmer was one of those; A poet-philosopher that the world lost forever. He was with us for only a short time, then he was gone.

Beautiful - very touching. Only some special people have the ability to leave their impact forever.
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
