LOVE

by Elisabeth Barstowe — Read all 441 poems by Elisabeth Barstowe

Well, after all it's valentines day. And what would Valentines day be without a LOVE poem?

Sunday, February 14, 2010

LOVE the way you look at me
late at night when we're reading
OUR bedtime story
Staying up until dawn
talking, talking, talking
About EVERYTHING

LOVE the way you look at me
in the morning
When we wake up after
DREAMING about us
When you take me in your arms
and you kiss me so softly
And I know what's coming
WITH anticipation
I surrender and I
give myself to YOU

I LOVE the way you
can't keep your hands off me
You keep coming back
for a kiss,
an embrace,
a glance,
a smile;
YOU make every day
special

YOU MAKE ME FLOAT ON AIR

yes, love can be a grand thing and I hope all have found it this year as much as they can. We can love our families if we have no mate and our animals too and we can just love nature as we look out the window at it or take a walk in our surroundings.
