Do YOUR Thing

by Elisabeth Barstowe — Read all 441 poems by Elisabeth Barstowe

Saturday, July 3, 2010

Do your thing
you do it so well
Don't worry about me
I'll be your conscience and you sanity
at the cost of all that was you and me

Yeah I know, We're not there yet
but at this rate soon we'll be
Because I can't stop this urge in me
to grant you absolution
and sway the groundwork of this constitution

Not sure but think I also agree with Davyid, it seems even subconsciously you know it is over and are preparing to move on...

Enigmatic. First stanza sounds like a personal concern, second one it seems country wide. Yet guilt seems to be the motive.
