Dreamer by Will

by Elisabeth Barstowe — Read all 441 poems by Elisabeth Barstowe

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

I began to begin
outside and within,
remembrance of days
with dreamers'  eyes.

And all the ghosts of the past
came to pay a visit
on a dreamer still,
a dreamer by will.

The choices was made clearly
as  I look to scarred fields
with no regret,
with visions clear of things unseen yet.

Experience rich
roads ahead of promise,
now is where I thrive
most satisfied to be alive.

Dreams as well as love are in the will.
Looking 'to scarred fields with no regret,' takes strength and a very fine nature, Elisabeth, and you have both.
