Don't write me off as you.
You're thoughtful, conciderate, open minded,
swayed by no storm, by no illusion blinded.
You keep your thoughts to yourself,
boxed up and tucked away neatly on a shelf.

That's ok, that's your special way,
I only wish I could be there for you every step of the way.
I want to share your troubles and your sorrows,
set your mind at ease, bring sunshine into your tomorrows.

I want to hold your hand when your burdons weigh you down,
I want to kiss your lips , turn upside down that frown.
I want to help set your dreams a sail,
seal it with a kiss, send it by priority mail.

But no matter how good my intentions may be,
it doesn't matter if you see you in me.
When you think I don't like to hear about your sorrow,
you keep me from taking you into a brighter tomorrow.
Remember, just because you don't want to share,
it doesn't mean I don't want to hear.

A shoulder to lean on is offered by a loving soul. I hope your offer is heard and he responds. An offer more generous cannot be tendered Elisabeth. Love and peace to you my dear friend. Jon Michael

One way streets have their place. They move a lot of traffic, but they are terrible when it comes to a loving relationship. Keep after him Elisabeth, your description of the rest of his character makes him sound worthy of your efforts. Dick

Wow! This is very good Elisabeth! The pain of a one-sided relationship seems to seep through here. I've been there.

Peace,
Dayvid
