Love as Love

Poem Artwork

One by one
your  tender
gaze found
me bleeding raw,
as the protective
ice around my heart
you thaw.

I knew from
the very start,
you are the one
to unblock
my heart.

Like the warm caress
of the summer sun
 tender words reverberate
wounded hearts
guilded hall.

Loving actions
speak louder
than word,
as you kickstart
my heart.

If not for your
tender guiding
I'd be still
in hiding.

I would've preferred a synonym for love in the title. And the poem describes action as the best way to find out what someone's intentions are.

I gather that you were betrayed and bleeding from being mistreated until someone came along with a gentle touch and manner into your life with love.
