Weary I lift my head to see
what it is I feel staring at me.
A vague reflection from the past,
of the one that did not last.
I see him everywhere I go,
oh how I wish it wasn't so.

The stars, the moon,
they shine for me.
Aghast, startled I see,
them swoon over me.

Past and present
always presence,
presenting fear.
Why are you
always there?

What can it be that you see,
that heighten your obsession
to this degree?

Although I might have had the same feeling of "being watched" or "being watched over" when my husband and my father died, I'm not having the same feeling of the "fear" that you are relating to. If I missed someone I would be glad to feel his/her presence.

I remember "feeling" their presence and I kept looking for someone who would look like them in the crowd.- That was MY obsession.

I went into the food court and found someone who looked like my dad. He had the same feature and wore the same type of cap as my dad. What astonished me was when I looked at his wife, she looked like my mother too. She wore the same kind of hat that my mom would always wear. I stupidly went up rudely to sit beside them and began talking with them. My action took them by surprise and they refused my friendship when I offered to them. They must have thought I was a nut. LOL!!!!
