Reality is different for everyone. Some people live only in their minds while others never enter inside them. This work looks at one life torn between both.
Torn between two worlds, destiny is thine.Reality is just one breath awayAs it entangles victims in its vine.Desire draws near, beckoning one to stay.Azure eyes lure one to thy beloved heart.Sinewy flesh overwhelms sensation.The beauty of thy soul is torn apartBy the minds pragmatic contemplation.A world of fear and loathing of one’s lifeBecomes the tangible sign that exists.Adoration is the target of strife,Leaving dreams of love and lust in the mists. One life given to the dry sands of timeBecomes lost in an invisible crime.

Mary, I like your poem. You have chosen quite a difficult subject and have done a wonderful job with it. I find your opening verse very powerful. Excellent write.
A page-turning novel about a relationship between best friends that is interrupted because of betrayal , deceit, sexual promiscuity and pregnancy happens!
