If You Were Young Again

If you were young again
what would you do
what would you seek
what quests would you pursue?

Would you linger in familiar places
or would you travel afar
chasing rainbows and comely faces
or endeavor to conquer some distant star?

Today, tomorrow or future days
would you dare try different ways
to live to love to work and play
or would you live life the same old way?

If you were young again
would you take new quests in hand
would you change your life goal plan
if you were young again?

Gwen, I like this one and would like to answer this question in poetry. I may copy it and try to do that. Do you mind? This poem fosters a lot of thoughts and ideas in my 85-year old mind. Thanks. Emma

Personally, as a choice, yes. But then, it's all written before one comes over. The way I see it anyway.
Well put!

This poem asks all the right questions Gwen and makes us think of all the things we'd like to do if we were young. I know I would have started writing a lot younger then I did. Well captured topic here.

Nice sentiments, Gwen; well written. If I were young again I probably would make the same mistakes but I would try to learn from them quicker. Blessings. Lamar

That's a good question. I would probably decide on other things. Yeah: Travel the world, meet with friends, get me another job, less responsibility and stress. Question is if I were happier than?

Better never look back. Those things are past. Accept them and await the future.

Excellent write.
Stay well.

If I were young again, I would live my life all over again. Even though there were hard times, but love was good. I wouldn't change a thing.

Too much pain in the past for me to answer that question to be honest. But this was well written and makes the reader ponder the answers...whether (s)he wants to or not !!

I don't think I would make any changes because each thing I did to get to where I am now is all a part of who I am. Without each piece I would be somebody else.

Would you linger in familiar places
or would you travel afar?

I would definitely travel afar, as far as I could, and I would try to learn far more than I know today, and try to have a bit more patience and understanding along the way.
