"Berkisi"
English Dictionary:
berk or burk (bɜːk)

— n

a stupid or foolish person;
|
The berk is the one, who just can't get it right,
though he struggles and fights as a child he knows,
there is always something greater then he.
one day he is up, the next he is down.
he listens to all but none can be found,
to pull him from his misery,
the hole just gets deeper, as life keeps him down.
the berk has a wandering eye.
He trusts in people though people mislead.
he follows them blindly, and does the misdeed.
he struggles and fights his whole life through,
but in the end there's not much left to do.
he falls on his face again and again,
the berk is a fool, to such a bitter end.
He's happy, he's sad, he's angry, he's mad,
he knows no limits, his life is extreme,
without a doubt, the berk is mislead again,
down another long path that he has never been.
he slips and he slides and he falls on his face,
then he slides some more as he falls from grace.
for an instant in time, the berk comes to his senses
"if God were looking down he'd mend all my fences".
then in just the blink of his eye,
he moves on without a lingering thought,
of the revelation that he just wrought.
he burns his bridges, where ever he goes
he forgets the ones he knows
he's on his own, his mind is always closed.
after he falls, he climbs back to his feet
a moment later hes back on the beat
hes already forgotten the plight he's come through
he's happy now, and that's all that's important,
what to do?
now is now and then is then,
he's never learned a lesson.
the walls get higher as his heart grows cold,
now that he is getting old.
the worms begin to eat at his mind,
what is life, he considers for a time.
then he awakens from his dream,
oh its only a dream, he says to himself,
another cold day in December,
just another cold day in December.
He was the one, who just couldn't get it right,
though he struggled and fought, as a child he knew,
there was always something greater then he.
one day he was up, the next he was down,
he listened to all but none could be found,
to pull him from his misery.
the hole just got deeper, as he kept himself down.
~
he is old now and at deaths door.
the walls are too high now, no bricks need be found,
no one is trusted anymore.
though he still has his wandering eye,
the berk is old,
his life is cold,
the berk is I,
berkisi.

...is life just an oxymoron?
"Have you ever gotten good advice from a wise fool?
The advice that he gives is the advice that he himself ignores.
and though I am afraid to say it, to some degree, I have ventured to
both ends of this spectrum."
