The thought of this slimeball's reinstatement make me want to heave.
NFL – Go To Hell Every sport has its misfits Its thugs, its goons, and its slime But Michael Vick holds a black spot deep in my heart For committing senseless and vicious crime The former franchise player Stunned the world as we all caught our breath And bore witness to horrific slaughter In Michael’s personal franchise of death There is no way I will ever forgive him I don’t care if he panders remorse If the NFL lets this monster again play Let the fans then assert their recourse Then pity the team with lowest of standards Why they’d sign him just makes me wonder Boycott their games and boycott their sponsors Let the league know of their terrible blunder Reinstating this animal is a slap in the face To the fans and the players who are good Now the League and Mike, and the gladiators of Rome Share a common denominator of blood Enjoy your season Mr. Goodell Copyright 2009 Patrick A. Games have lost their spirit long ago-they stand for brutality and greed for fame or money. Your comparison is very apt-though gladiators had to be so for survival-these goons strut about in the guise of sportsmen

Sports figures, you just gotta love it. There have been so many through the years, but they always seem to get forgiven no matter the crime, it is sickening...

Totally agree with you, Patrick! Oh, but he can only play in the 5 pre-season games...did I hear that right?? "slap...slap". I hope he is Boo-ed throughout those games. Is it illegal to throw rotten tomatoes at an animal slayer?

The dude just needs to be banned from football--permanently! It's thugs like this who give football an unfair slap in the face, not to mention, the fans. Priorities are messed up bad when celebs and athletes get a slap on the wrist and the average American would be rotting in jail if they committed the same crime! Where's the justice?????

Perhaps a team that has a dog for a mascot would be a good opponent... if there is one. It would be a pleasure watching Mr. Vick get bit. Mr. Vick does not deserve the perks that accompany the NFL limelight. I'll stick to watching college football, even though the BCS is BS. Nice write, Patrick.

Understand completely: whiny crybabies can't live on their multimillions, while Veterans starve - goes for celebrities, too. GRR! Why I much prefer to watch little league games or college - they still play for the love of the game. Or they used to - shame. Excellent rant, Patrick.

Nilla and Pete agree and say that goes double for them. Persons who engage in the harm of animals for "sport" should not be paid athletes in our world. Are we becoming Rome? Good parallel.
