You have recalled, recreated, and shared the ambiance very effectively, Patrick. I've not often been at sea but my ancestors were fishermen from Brittany, France who came to fish on the Grand Banks off Newfoundland. I think some of that spirit is in my blood. Please read, "Sailors' Lullaby" posted by me here at AD. Your poem reminds me of it and the feelings that brought it to life. Love and peace to you,
