You only got one momma

Poem Artwork

The mourning son fell like rain

When mother sang the blues

The canyons echoed mirrored refrain

When mother sang the blues

The wind would moan in sweet reprise

When mother sang the blues

The evening star escaped the skies

When mother sang the blues

Time stood still and cloaked the night

When mother sang the blues

Child’s emotions captured light

When mother sang the blues

Simple hope for a better day

When mother sang the blues

Her music was her only way

So mother sang the blues

Now the heavens hear her song

As mother sings the blues

She invites us all to sing along

While mother sings the blues

So bring that Mother down... with a song. Always loved the blues, and you cruise.

We surely do only got one Momma, and it seems like almost everywhere I travel these days, she's sadly singin them blues. We're not very loving children.

By the title, I got the thought, When Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy. And that rings true for this write: no wonder all the disasters. Mama's ticked and she's letting EVERYONE know it. Excellently penned, Patrick.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
