What does it mean When the words I pen Bring the mist To my own eyes Is there something Buried deep within Some awful truth That I despise I see no reason When verses flow Why raw emotion Affects me so They are just words Arranged in ways To spin a story Not set ablaze My simple thoughts That grow complex For every stanza That I write A dozen more My mind rejects Except When they’re right Copyright 2009 Patrick A. Writing touches places we have buried for a long, long time. Words trigger other words. Much cheaper than a shrink too. Well expressed.

Answer: It must touch upon a subconscious train of thought or memory, which elicits an emotional reaction. Which begs the question, do we really have "free will?" Or, does the impulse come first out of the sub-conscious mind? I heard the latter is actually true. Okay, enough of my BS for tonite. Have a good one. Enjoyed.
