Suffocation

Partly inspired by a documentary about anacondas on the Animal Planet a couple of nights ago, though not exactly about them. Sometimes my alter ego sneaks out and writes something

Poem Artwork

I see them glowing

Across the dimly lit room

I should know better

Than to lock eyes with you

Mistress of the darkness

Temptress incarnate

Eyelashes dance in slow motion

Resistance neutralized

Green irises become the night sky

As you slink ever closer

Nape hairs rise in anticipation

As the squeeze begins

Silence except

The soft ringing in my ears

Rib motion synchronous

Labored

Constrictions intensify

Silence broken

Giddy now

There is little comfort knowing

My last breath belongs to you
