There is a song written by Sylvana Bell(no relation to me)and EV Banks, entitled "I Am On The Battlefield". The chorous goes like this; "I am on the battlefield for my Lord, I am on the battlefield for my Lord and I promised Him that I, would serve Him 'til I die, I am on the battlefield for my Lord!" Taking the time to think about it...when one surrenders their life to Christ, one of the hardest things to do is to 'release' their will, so that Jesus' will for their lives can be done. One 'stumbles' often along the way when trying to learn how to do this. I am still learning and sometimes, I hit the mark right on the head but other times, I am far away from it. But still I will not turn around, nor will I stop trying to live a life that is pleasing to God. So, the big question is...why? I mean...why do so many people like myself keep trying to live for Christ, when most of the time they become the object of cruel judgments and ridicule? Well, I can't speak for anyone else but, as far as I am concerned, I am reminded that He came for the imperfect, like me...not the perfect. Thus, I will 'stay on the battlefield' because serving my Blessed Savior is not about me at all...it is all about...'Him'. (this inspiration came to me while I was in the shower today...God gave it to me in the form of a song)
