Poem Artwork

Shoo...shoo away!

you dark cast surge

that comes to rob me

of my inspired urge

It didn't work before

and it won't work now

these eyes shall look upward

these knees shall bow

I'm convinced of His Kingship

I 'know' He's alive!

I feel His touch

He stands by my side

Shoo...shoo away!

menace from darkest depths

you cannot destroy that

for which my Savior wept

We'll still walk...when it's peaceful

We'll still walk...through the storm

His presence is so comforting

His Spirit...so warm

I'll never let go

of this gift so divine

Today, tomorrow and forever

I am His and He is mine!

You see...Jesus and I...?

we're a team heavenly

He whispers...I write

He's the author, not me

So, stop wasting your time

when it's so plain to see

shooting darts are so futile

Shoo...!

In Jesus Name...let me be!

James4:7

This is straight from the throne room of Heaven Joyce......with sobering words of inspiration and His much needed strength to go
on in spite of! Yes Joyce, I really needed to read "Shoo...I " For
He is the Author, not me " It is so important that we never lose focus of this and give Him all the Glory and honor, and praise! Thanks
Joyce!

Much Love,
Margaret

Beautifully penned, Joyce, and such a good inspiration to those who feel the eye of darkness upon them. I am constantly struck by the utter simplicity of the covenant offered so often by God and yet ignored by most people. Is it their choice to be confused? God's simple covenant is repeated many times in the Old Testament; spoken to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Solomon, David, and Jesus, yet the chosen people always turned away, went their own way, and got into trouble time and time again. Yet, here in your poem, you are being exactly what God asked for in His covenant, and it is perfect, and it is easy, and [best of all] it is right. Well done, Joyce !!!

Thank you so much for your comments on "Third World Language" - a silly story ...

This is an excellent write, Joyce. Funny, I say the same thing as you did, "He's the author, not me." I truly enjoyed this piece. Stay strong and well my friend, and may God bless you always.

The conviction of your faith shines through in your poem. The battles we fight against temptation are winnable if we only seek His help.
Blessings Joyce,
David
