Here, in this hour I do remember…instances

of having daily survived in…happiness land

I have frolicked, giggled, laughed…out loud

A lover of music…I have danced and twirled

within the company of many acquaintances

feeling afloat…as if on a number nine cloud

Also, I can’t leave out those…sensuous times

when the world abruptly ceased its spinning

and to such passionate nights …I have bowed

However, in all honesty and in all sincerity?

I was so very empty…something was missing!

I can now readily and truthfully to this avow

There was I existing…so without any purpose

fully pretending to enjoy that carefree living

but sadly totally, absolutely…lost…in a crowd

I’m looking, I would tell myself, for Mr. Right

but, had to asked, how many do I…go through

before I toss ego and the foolish act of…proud?

Needless to say, I hid my feelings of loneliness

but wanting my own and the pain to be gone

inside I pined for someone to come…somehow!

Then I turned and my eyes fell on You…smiling

and over a while…I finally smiled back at You

recalling rare patience...as I hesitantly cowed

It took time before trusting You, indeed…years

until I believed how much You cared...by Faith

and began…a slow render of my carnal shroud

We drew closer as we went on…with me leaning

 heavily on Your Cross…grateful that Salvation  

purchased a ceaseless pardon, eternally allowed

Now with...You Inside ...solitary’s fright is void

today, I’ve found a new meaning…for breathing

I’m Living With Purpose…Your Love, Endowed!
