It's Heaven’s Beneficence that leads me on
and He has never lost His…Touch
A constant source from beyond…
a pillar…that bares the crush
He is my Life-line, with no tension grime
a companion whose ebb…is sublime
A…still pond…in hours of fury
my soul’s defender from world’s jury
Of such things I have become aware…
but what of…before…I vested His Care?
What of…His tending a babe in womb…
protecting before…my first cry?
What of…hovering over a toddler…
who took a step…my first try?
What of…those stagnant years
before…I sought His Blood’s Lace…
Those countless moons…before turning
to acknowledge and accept… His Grace?
Unforgettable…is His Tolerance and wait…
while I procrastinated…toying with fate
Always…His Touch was there…
that warmth from Him of something sure
was constant, no desist
And because He Loves Me, even after
three quarters of a century plus three
…it still is
Albeit, here I am at age Seventy-eight
continuing to learn and appreciate…
His silent encouragement that
faultlessly…inspires,
His strength, perpetually surging
that never tires
His kindness, marvelously mine…
hour after hour,
His timely renewing, a steppingstone…
to His Tower
His Accolades shall never end…
for, like a grounded and rooted Tree…
He … Is … My ...Friend…
Who stands beside me…staunch
while others scatter and… bend
His Abounding Grace, which has brought
me through all my days…past…
Will take me into my tomorrows…
with Him holding me, fast
He and I will run-on…and alight…
overcoming every obstacle
through…His Power…His Might
Yes, Jesus Alone…will temper my billows
with my falls, caught…on Merciful pillows
Oh…What a God! What a Savior…!
who guides in life’s highs and decay
My Bulwark…my Sustainer…
it’s His stitching…that mends my fray
He…has become…my everything…
a Masterful Counselor…rendering…
each sob…to a hush
Of my Sovereign Lord and Everlasting King…
with air He gives, I’ll not cease to adore and sing
for, He’s never, ever…lost…His Touch!

I have a quiet spot, too. Where I go every now and then during the day and just relax my mind and get ready to get back in the life with all the gusto I can muster as my faculties gradually decline, as they should, with age.
