my heart has many sides,
beating tirelessly, breaking often, loving deeply.
there is room for you, in my beating heart,
it can be broken, but mends with care, and patience.
you cannot destroy it, bruise it perhaps,
do not be afraid of it,
the bruises are needed, for joy to be felt.
and i welcome the chance for pain, i want to feel the love,
i need to excersize my heart, or it will slowly wither,
and dry, and blow away.
my heart needs you,
to live and grow, to keep the loves alive.
so fill me with love and joy, laughter and tears,
only then will i know
that i am alive.
