A Heart Attack

Hold my hand

Crevice of my heart

Hold it

Understand.

Feel the secrets

Hold my story

Some sad

Many glory.

Soft, but callused

A story unfolds

My hands

Wanting to be told.

Feel the cracks

Out of whack

Live the story

A Heart attack.

So much can be told through clasping hands. May healing and wholeness be with you.

Some of the deepest burdens are so well hidden. I will never forget one moment in my deepest despair, my life a cloudy maze- yet keeping appearances at work, I was standing next to a dear lady at a desk. I looked at her hand, and I just thought if I could put my hand on her hand life would come back to me.
I somehow kept my composure, stayed polite, drowned my need in pain.
One step at a time, the sun peeks through.
Beautiful poem, hold hands.

John
