dying for freedom POW/MIA/bnr government acronyms learned at 15 years of age. Prisoner of War Missing In Action Body Not Recovered. Why did you change it? no longer mia, but kia Killed In Action. Board of Inquiry? Sgt. what’s his name? Bodies unrecoverable? Forty Four years later He is still MIA Missing in Action. Dying for freedom happens. Being forgotten doesn’t. Very sad indeed. After all this time no record of his whereabouts. He is a hero but I wish he were home where his loved ones are.

There are many in that category, the MIA's. North Korea just released on not long ago. He had been there fifty some odd years.
