On this particular occasion I remember so well we were at the Grand Canyon walking and holding hands when you told me that your name means flower in your native India.
Two years ago, like a rose that graced her environment with fragrance and beauty and then in due season, according to the Divine Design, departed, you disrobed mortality, put on immortality and became a free soul, unfettered, not subjected to time or space and fully Cosmic.
Now, in the very essence of reality, you are for me who you were during those twenty-four years when we eloped, embraced and experienced intimacy at the deepest level that two human beings can know.
We are sill bonded.
Nothing, not even death, can change that.
Darling, as I affectionately called you...and it pleased you, you are "the apple of my eye." Deep down in my heart that is the eye of my soul you are presence in the present, my soul mate and Most Significant Other.
In meaning, spirit and love we are one twain.
I am still on Planet Earth and acutely aware that my transition is certain, no less imminent than yours was when we last said to each other, "I love you"
But until then...
until my eyes see what your eyes see but what mortal eyes cannot see,
until you, the brightest star in the constellation, shine in my presence brighter in the day than in the night,
