You are a child of the Universe. You have a right to be
here at this particular time. To be the person you were
created to be requires you to have self-confidence.
Here is how you can have it.

What is confidence? Confidence is the feeling or
consciousness of one's powers or reliance on one's
awareness of his circumstances. Self-confidence
is having the feeling or consciousness of powers or
reliance in oneself. Faith, conviction and trust,
especially trust in oneself, are aspects of or
synonyms for self-confidence. Self-confidence is
the difference between feeling unstoppable, if not
invincible, and feeling frightening or inadequate.

How to Build and Expand Self-Confidence
It would be easy for me to write a paragraph or more
on each of the components listed below but having
confidence in the ability of the reader to appropriately
apply his knowledge in acquisition of the insights
they contain I am foregoing further elaboration on
these confidence building blocks. Also having
confidence that he will apply them and become a
self-confidence person:
1. Cease comparing yourself with other people
2. Value yourself, realize that you are somebody
3. Cultivate a healthy, positive rather than negative,
     attitude
4. Exercise, healthy eating, spiritualize, daily
5. Express gratiude to yourself, others and God
6. Make eye contact and creative aggressively assert
    yourself
7. Have an attractive appearance
8. Continue to acquire knowledge and learning
9. With regard to mature behavior act "as if it is"
     until "it is"
10. Unapolgetically express yourself verbally
11. Have the appropriate posture in the situation
12. Fear not, have faith

When a person's self-confidence contains these
building blocks he will be, in actuality, a self-confidence
person.

 Reviews of "SELF-CONFIDENCE"

This seems to be more like an article than a poem, but it certainly has good advice for being more confident. I recall my nervousness when in public all the way up until I was in my 20s and realized that, in order to overcome those that had a negative view of disabilities like mine, I had to project confidence in showing them that I could operate at an equal level of competence in spite of my disability. It worked and I am no longer afraid of speaking before large audiences.
