We are intelligent beings, but we come from brutal beginnings. It has taken us thousands of years, first through moralistic teachings in the family, passed down I word-of-mouth until writing could encapsulate them for the ages. And then wait more millennia for the "arc" of the history toreach the moral thing required.
With you, I believe that a lot of the right moral thing will be accomplished this year with all of the leadership in the right hands, except the judgmental one, the final court of law.
