I didn't know, (A plea: innocence and/or ignorance); I had a bad childhood, (What's new? Who didn't?);
Life isn't fair, (Although other people get breaks...they are lucky);
The Devil made me do it, (I can't say God mistreated me, so it has to be the Devil);
If it were not for you, (I would be rich...happy...somebody);
I will do it...one day...someday, (But not today or tomorrow);
It's only human...to be...to do... piggish stuff, (Admit that you are a pig or some other non-human animal);
Nobody helped me, (I lifted myself by my own bootstraps);
I tried, (Trying is pretending... faking it);
I am tired, (A plea for pity, sympathy, an excuse for not taking responsibility).
Even death is not an excuse; it is a date with destiny.
