Haggards' Halls ( Part IX )

Laughs are heard, infectious tones,
they chill your being to the bone.
Haunting voices steal one's due.
perhaps a strangeness fancies you.

Some say, " they who wear a grin,
have found a way to lure us in."
Trust these words undoubtedly
or smile and lose your sanity.

A twelve by twelve foot padded cell,
life's  rubber room that you've heard tell...
Walk within that circled square.
Count those steps, but be aware...

Forty-Eight feet all around,
your standing taut on shaky ground.
Curses pass and must befall,
on he who enters Haggards' Halls.

Verse one captures me - love it. Then you deliver with unique imagery to this series. Well done!

Wow Paul!

My goodness you have been so busy with this series my friend. I just got done rereading over the ones I already commented on when I was here before so I could be in step! I see you have really expanded and flown with this and I know I will enjoy each and every one. This is a chiller indeed, it echos the halls of my sanity/insanity. Brilliant, BRAVO and YEA!

AND NOW A WORLD by JERRY LOWENSTEIN by De Rose

Jerry Lowenstein, an octogenarian and a nice guy, has written a fantastic mystery/ suspense novel that takes place just after WW2 on and near Bikini Atoll. He actually witnessed an atomic bomb test. Can you imagine that?
