Life evolves on many schemes,
each goal has a reason.
Future's built on hopes and dreams
but all men have their seasons.

Seasons change, they quickly pass,
diverted by distraction.
First, most oft, becomes our last
for lack of satisfaction.

Satisfaction shall be due
on every breach that's taken.
Simple actions all too few,
with furnished paths foresaken.

Foresaken roads in journeys' end
can lead to wasted seasons.
In our minds we ne're pretend
each goal has its' reason.

Paul,
I like how the last word of each verse becomes the first word of the next. The last verse comes full circle. Great format and message! Love and Hugs.

Fantastic write.
Though we sometimes don't see a reason behind some action or happening, it is there. We do better in accepting it.

This is a wonderful poetic commentary on the rhyme, reason and patterns of life which no man/woman seems to manage to escape. Our logic is confounded by the passage of time and, thankfully, our wantonness also is quite often erased by the onward march of life. The treadmill continues, whether we are on it, off it, or defying it! What seems so important today is made a passing phase, and so many little things remain the stuff of what really counts and makes a difference - like love, hope and faith!! Great message wrapped in a poetic helix that is like the DNA of life itself - ongoing! Thank you, Paul. Kate xx
