The Point of No Return

A dream I had. Try analyzing this one.

The blood curdling screech pierces my senses
and etches itself in my mind.
A devilish creature, with human limbs protruding
from every orafice stays an arms reach away.

The almost human screams from this atrocity
begins to take on an eerie sound.
Distant repetoires of what was once human,
seems to be escaping from its grotesque form.

The damned of the world are within it and
have no option but to wail for eternity.
I am pressed, running faster to escape their fate...
My legs become weak and grow heavy.

The constant throbbing and pounding in my brain
is taking me to the verge of insanity.
My eyes open but I find myself still clothe in darkness.
Fear has consumed me completely.

I lay there, for what seems like eons, before
a trickle of light finally filters through.
I vow to the new day and pray that
darkness never returns.

It seems as though the madness of the world is trying to entice you to come join the madness. [sorry, I give dream interpretation classes] Don't go to the madness [smiles]

Excellent write Paul. I'm so glad you saw the lights at the end of your dream.

This one reminds me of my recurring nightmare which I had 'til I was into my 20's. In this dream I always went to a place where there were humans with animal heads, and each time I turned around and ran away from them.....and I'm so glad I ran away from them.
