Mirrors of the Mind

Mirrors are age old wonders. They inject the dreams, infect the visions and somehow reflect the truth.

Mirrors are the wonders of
the soul.
Reflecting accomplishments and
our goals
A beauty magnified on an
even plain,
the evil untold or from whence
it came.

Mirrors hold reflections of
our lives.
They tell of struggles and
of strives.
Tears to be held within
the glass,
the halls of sorrows through which
we pass.

Mirrors cast images of how we
should be.
They show the beauty for man
to see.
Now stand before the wall
of dreams,
The joys of life aren't what
they seem.

Paul,
It's true - people are so very complex. Growth only comes when we glance into every one of those mirrors, though. Some are satisfied to go their whole lives without looking into the deepest placed mirrors, because those are the ones that show truth. Truth about oneself tends to scare some. But without that truthful glance, we have no hope of improving ourselves - which is something we should all strive to do. A well written piece with deep meaning! Love and Hugs~

My mirror is a judge of me. If I can look in my mirror and like and respect the person looking back at me, I'm doing okay. Great write, and unique perspective on what a mirror really is.

Yes Paul, mirrors of the mind play tricks on us like the ones in a fun house and can make our life meaningless. Or can make our lives an exuberant experience depending on illusion or reality. Bill
