Silver Chariot

Thoughts I had on my flight out west.

Beauty is our passage and salvation.
Golden streaks of light reflect
softly into my eyes from above.
Paths of wonder lie within reach.

With powerful and mighty thrusts,
the hearts of our gentle beast
roar to life authoritatively.
What was, seems miniscule and distant.

Yesterdays dream is todays reality.
We soar, shielded in the belly of mans folly,
guided by resolve and an eagles eye.
Dancing between gravity and orbit...

Time stands motionless between worlds,
racing forward to leave the future behind.
Can what was done hours ago be undone,
in another region, moments from now?

Tomorrow these thoughts will be keepsakes.
I'll awake and hold them dear. Meanwhile
this Silver Chariot embraces me
promising hope of a new dawn.

This is the most elegant description of flying I've ever read, Paul. Your unique perspective shows a profound appreciation for an experience which many take for granted. I think this poem captures the awe and respect folks felt when soaring through the clouds was first made available to the public. Bravo! Love and Hugs~

The Author did have a smooth riding on his "Silver Chariot"...

This is a poem that brings the fire to light the torch of learning. Poetry expressed with the photos of dreams that can be felt, touched, digested and admired.

I must say that this is a masterpiece when it comes to deliver what poetry means.

I thank the Author for sharing this "Silver Chariot".

Since we're both dancing, may I have the honor of joining you? What an out-of-the-world experience between gravity and orbit!
Breathtaking!
