Crisis of mind, the loveless kind, demeans
The battle of striving to self-survive,
Voiced rhymes in selfish wayward time, unseen
To be true . Time-waster, are you alive?
Time slips by when captured eye deceives its
Owner with frivolous sights of pridefilled
Nature’s designs. Phrased in rhyme, writing pad
Weeps its smudged lead. Time-loser, are you thrilled?
Words in mind, the artful kind, crescendo
Feast of selfish beast who laughs and wails and
Writes in purloined rhyme, which seems apropos;
The selfish know. Time-taster, aren’t you grand?
The time of mind devours itself; rebirth
Can’t be found. Time-eater, what is your worth?
