There is a special place I go to soothe
my hurts and calm my soul when empathy
starts painting me into a cornered fugue.
Where flowers shadows prance in harmony
and color-comfort me; there is a tree
which I’ve adorned with sticks and plants and chime
to, once again, soothe my mind – and I see
my futures pass before my eyes in Time.
There is a place that I adore, I go
to when I can’t take more, it sits outside
of my back door and enters me when woe
feeds fear into my soul -- that I have died…
There is a place that I abide in peace
with struggling self inside ... where worries cease.
