Lying Abed

Lying abed,
I saw a quotient in my mind
as I dozed before sleep, at the proper time.
It wasn’t in earthly geometrics,
yet, it had our equations sown down deep.
I saw diamonds unveiling twisted
angles unknown, saw circles
of paralleled stars dethrone; surreal,
but persuasively there.
Instead of lying abed in fright,
I jumped up, and yelled, “All right!”
And I reticulated myself to notebook’s design
to capture that moment in time.
It was dark, I couldn’t see, so I felt
my way out of me, succumbing
to all these radical waves, sensing
my cosmic grave – and delighting
in jumping out of my head,
since I couldn’t sleep,
lying abed...

up with something like this, I'm filing a complaint!
This soars Erin, has me absolutely panting with envy
of that second stanza which is too awesome to describe!
