Incandescence, your filament breathes me;
Now, white-hot and glowing, I radiate
A soothing heated sea, vary degrees
Temperature in my need; procreate.

Phosphorescence, when excitation’s ceased,
You limn my limbs with peace; no fervent brow
Could feel as hot as not; I am released,
Without perceptible loss; view me now.

Fluorescence, ultraviolet me, to live,
I must see it all, your wavelengths incite
My soul; I absorb, radiate and give;
Emitting visibility of light.

Luminous, my flux expands… Mortal Man,
Open mind to others; lambent, we span.
