Relief?

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Thursday, November 4, 2004

If I were to die, would I find relief?
From agony of being undefined?
I fail to appreciate what I have
time after time, in the search to know mind.

To find life, I must find death – cellular.
Not the Grim Reaper, but final Teachers.
To find life, I must find self – insular.
Not by myself, with help from Life-Speakers.

Conundrum, enigma, veldt – eulogy;
from agony to ecstasy, from hell’s
door to heaven’s gate, we are afraid; we
form spheres of unactualities. Cells

are bio-rhymed, trapped by earth-bound Time. See
into awareness, and set yourself free.

Erin, I couldn’t leave without leaving a comment on this profound piece too. Absolutely incredible! As I said before, my friend, excellence flows from your Den! Thanks for sharing it, and jogging the cobwebs out of the skull. Take care and be well.

You neve imbue one with ennui with your verses, Erin. Quite the contrary. Love and peace to you. Regis

"we form spheres of unactualities. Cells are bio-rhymed, trapped by earth-bound Time." this is a fascinating perception, it might even be true, but imo it needs more description, more elaboration, than just the leap from speculation to statement, which I think is sometimes what happens in your writing in its combination of powerful rationalism & emmotion. anyway you know best. please take a look at my last submission, genomic gnomes, I'm v interested in what your perception of it might be, especially if your not aware of Prymne, I
wonder how you'd react to him. hasta anon robin
