Infinity-High

I looked further than I’d mind-dared, strange thoughts
had occurred; planes of plains overlapped. I
was twinned, entwined. Yet, not. I was caught
by all my selves – linked. Infinity-high,
I opened my eyes, raised my gaze, and fell
into perpetual eternity,
tumbled into Time’s arms. I felt each cell
of my biochemistry sing me free.
I saw my mind as alive, but harbored.
I saw my soul as its sea, my body
the ship supporting my journey. Adorned
with barnacles, sails torn by storms, still – Me.
Eventually, this earth-flesh will die,
but I’ll go on; I’ve found the Life I’ve sought.
