Though depthless you seem, sky of blue, I am
not fooled by your formlessness. You cannot
leave your earth of birth so easily, dam
your pride, blue-barred cage. For I am not caught.
Soar restless with altitude, flow deeper
into heart of blue -- there is no escape,
without wings rainbowed... Soft the air, sleeper;
your blanket of blue, marred by cloudy drapes,
can only hold with ethereal arms,
quintessence graced, who's returning to space.
For those sky-barred heights can cause soul no harm,
as it understands; blue has been replaced.
And as essence looks upon god’s high place,
a god looks back, wearing essence’s face.
