In a soul of ashy waste,
In a soul that won’t escape,
Cries for help remain in place
And helplessness fills all space.
In a mind of self-disgust,
In a mind that self-mistrusts,
Ego flees while pleading needs
And bitterness sows its seeds.
In a heart of aching mirrors,
In a heart that weeps with fears,
Self abides with self inside
And hopelessness now resides.
