Scourge-Free

Scourge, but don’t repent, flagellate, but wait
for Lent. Pray hard for elusive rent. Head
high to keep you blind. Square lives, rapture fate.
Come, realize, you can’t believe what’s said.
Kneel, and touch your nose, then stagnate, and rate
the wait. Chant long, it can open hate. Head
down to keep out sight. Knife lives, capture fate.
Come, realize, you can’t believe what’s said.
Trust, and free your love, enervate, the date's
been set. Sing loud, well led and proud. Bow head
and meet your mind. Share thoughts – and create fate.
Come, realize, there is life to be wed.
Scourge-free, we all become, brethren, in Great
Beyonds. Come, realize, We are the Gate.

Gratefully,
Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU
challenge our lives! This is
just layered in truth and needs
more to be considered than
carelessly reviewed. I'm not
sure one can review this honestly
without first studying it. I've
read it a few times through and
each time, I found another speck
of gold mixed among the sands.
Great writing Erin!
