Robot Façade

I wish I were a robot,
and my face was still as ice.
Then people couldn’t see behind
my façade of life.
I wish I were a robot,
and my skin was cold as ice.
Then people couldn’t see how hard
I hide from heat inside.
I wish I were a robot,
and my heart was hard as ice.
Then people couldn’t see beyond
how faked I feel my life.
I wish I were a robot,
and my fate would melt like ice.
So people couldn’t stop and stare
when I hit my stride.
