Passing Through a Book, One Day

I was passing through a book, one day,
Ambling along while feeling my way,
And I noticed these scarred lines between the words.
I was reading of gods and men from way-back-when,
Trying to assimilate my now's-time with then,
And I realized there were discrepancies in the words.
I was thinking of beginnings and eternities,
Seeking to find my way through Man’s confusing pleas,
And I epitomized our creation isn't written in words.
I was musing how victors writes, and wrongs, war-prolong,
Teaching misguided majesties of God-so-strong,
And I visualized the hurts and harms of falsified words.
I was listening to verses of opened sight light the night,
Awakening to the potential of soul-powered might,
And I composed this poem to write of truth in words.
I was passing through some books, today,
Enjoying my mind and its fresh-thinking ways,
And I applauded the authors who showed worth with words.
