In time’s unruliness with life, weeping
Captures cosmos-light, holds souls fragileness
In salt-burned eyes; with miracle seeping,
One Keeper cries. In time’s sad obtuseness
Chaos combines, and rends in briefest rhyme
What takes eternity to build – heaven.
Upon compliance with time’s will, tears pine
For what once fulfilled body -- unleavened.
In time’s unhappiness with life, bleeding
Memories become a right; Soul Keeper
Mingles salt with tears, mandamus for fears
Of earth-bound years, bitter emotion’s reaper.
We are the Keepers of Souls, each fragment
Housed in temporal abodes, flesh only lent.
