I Am Not Insane

For a loved friend, and myself.

Hello, disguise.
I am happy
to see you in one piece.
I thought opening myself
had exposed us.
But, no, slippery façade
still covers my face,
my heart, my soul.
I am not feeling
the flames of reality’s hells
licking my body ferocious.
It is the angels of heaven,
my heaven, my cosmos.
So, it would stand to reason,
under the laws of relativity,
I am not insane.
