Butterfly Soft

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Saturday, February 26, 2005

Butterfly fly
Deep, no more
To weep.

Butterfly soft,
Yawn, and soar
From dawn.

Butterfly song,
Winged, rainbowed,
Forth flung.

Butterfly dies,
Sleeps, evermore
To keep.

I got the inside joke, Nordette. This is very beautiful, Erin; the fragility and beauty of life. Thank you. Love and peace. Regis

Lovely poem. I hope more people write about butterflies. Now that's an inside joke for Regis Auffray. But I really liked the poem.

Yes they do but they also spin the cocoon for more butterflies. I like them all.

Such beauty, both butterflies and this short poem, twould be nice to see a butterfly if only for a day, but alas it is snow season here...Ed (ps: thanks for the recent review, I look forward to hearing from you every now and then)
