Loneliness Creeping

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Monday, May 23, 2005

It comes seeping,
And creeping,
The loneliness is Weeping
From feelings
And dealings
With emotions
Sweeping devotions
To love and lust.

It comes stealing,
And kneeling,
The loneliness is Deeping
From reaping
The heapings
Of emotions
Reeling devotions
To lust and love.

Weeping in loneliness is no fun. It deepends unless you get out of the doldrums, get moving and set yourself up for better days. Everyone gets lonely but it can be turned around and emotions can be sorted out and good things can become of those lonely days it you look to the future and find better things

Sad, depressing, lonely - I *love* it! You did a nice play on rhyme, in a form that I used to use, so this is very dear to my heart. Not to mention, I know these sentiments quite well. -- Jeff
