Self Unstrung

Self? What have you done? Do you really think
You have spun a victory? You’ve unstrung
A warp in threads of stability. Linked
To Eternity, knit by voices-young…
Self? What will you do? Do you think trading
Love for solitude will make you One? Do
You think dove-torn days will foster braiding
Of strengthened weave? Are you long overdue
For lading fading’s hue? Self, conceptions
Perceptions of happiness cover minds
With patterns sometimes skewed. Unraveling done,
How will you patch yourself when fabric-contrived
Without colored hand of Creation’s loom?
Self? This new design may become your tomb.
