A Mother’s Morning Lament

Sleepy faces fantasized,
How, now, does your day proceed?
Will you think of mother’s sighs
As green land inspires your dreams?
Morning face with older eyes,
Who is left to help you bleed?
Will you dream of daughters’ smiles
As brown land inspires your thoughts?
Dreaming faces realized,
Energy of youth so sweet,
Remember mother’s poet mind
As you grow and seek new thoughts.
Thinking face with tearful eyes,
Cherish mission to complete,
Remember children’s happy smiles
As you grow and seek new dreams.
