Calls of ‘Defend!’ occur in frequent ways
By imagined slurs on what’s held dear. Fear
Of realizations of self-seen-clay
Startles awareness -- of today’s revered
Propaganda, butchered, sacrificed and
Clamorously deadly. ‘Sins’ win with Men’s
Need to travel the mind to understand
Himself, and, all else. And, why not re-when
The there-been into associate poems?
Why not deem imagination, if grown
Benign, sublimed grace? While same known,
Malicious, does not show quid pro quo?
Calls of ‘Defend!’ deserve careful thought, deeds,
With Golden Rule’s creed – for Man to proceed.
