Day’s End

When wishes viewed compound with loneliness,
Day’s end seems unredeemed and accentless.
When filigree cage remains the wage of
Eternity’s stage, there is no redress.
When dreams reviewed refract to nothingness,
Day’s end feels unfulfilled and comfortless.
When favored stars retain age-chained bars of
Earthy travails, voice is no more addressed.
When sight devalues fractured abjectness,
Day’s end looms undergroomed and echoless.
When faulty fees do not free, the flight of
Spirit’s height falls, demeaned, no more caressed.
Day’s end is no Man’s friend, comradeliness
Condones no bliss, and so – all worlds are less.
